John, Cassie and I have had quite an adventure together:
I first met Patrick in 2002 when I was on the hunt for my first home, he helped me not only purchase my first home but did so in a seller’s market. I was one of nine offers on a house that was in high demand. Not only did he get my offer accepted he did so with such professionalism and high standards that the owner of the home even stood up to her children that told her to sell to someone else who could offer more and she said no, she wanted to sell to myself and my agent Patrick.
Three years later I told Patrick that I wanted to sell that same house and find something bigger, we listed appropriately and sold fast, at the same time we found our new home which was a bit out of our budget but my wife and I wanted the home, Patrick worked his magic and we found ourselves onto a bigger home to start our family. This was May of 2006, shortly after this the market dropped and we found ourselves in a bit of a pickle, upside down in our home and struggling to make ends meet. After two long years of trying to modify our loan with our bank we came to terms we were going to have to short sale our home in order to prevent a foreclosure. We once again brought Patrick back on board for a short sale, a very difficult one at that, but as expected, he worked his magic and not only made the process as pain free as possible, he found honest buyers who held up their end of the deal, so much so they even let us rent back until we could find another home. Which leads me to Patrick’s finest hour.
We did find a home, a bank owned property that was a diamond in the rough. Due to our short sale we were not able to buy but my mother was in the market for an investment property so she offered to help us out. 7 long months in escrow lead us to deadlines that could have left us homeless if Patrick didn’t work his magic. We finally closed escrow 2 days before Christmas 2012. We are still in this home and my wife and have recently taken possession from my mother and we are once again homeowners all due in part to Patrick and his commitment to the process, the industry, and the profession of true real estate and client relationships. To this day he stops by to say HI and checks on the family. 17 years I have known Patrick and there is NO other agent I would even consider to help in any home transaction, be it purchase, or lease, or just need someone who will be honest and give you expert advise, Patrick McKenzie is hands down the one to call.
